Eagle Lake

Eagle Lake is located in Lake Tahoe, California.  It is a little over a one mile hike to the lake and the hike up to lake is steep,  but very scenic.  You first go by Eagle Falls, walk thru a beautiful pine forest, and across granite domes, before you finally reach the lake. 

The day we took this hike it was a bit smoky from the California wildfires during the summer of 2008, so some of the long range views are a bit hazy.  To hike to Eagle Falls, park at Emerald Bay and just follow the signs.
